Topman do not directly scout models themselves yet the team in charge of selecting the new models of the season turn to trusted agencies to locate the perfect candidate. The agency will have a selection of suitable models on the books who will be sent to castings for Topman where the organisers for the shoot will pick the model with the perfect look for the collection. It is very important that the male is suited to the collection theme to pull of the campaign effortlessly. Each season a new vision is created to keep the store fresh and exciting. Therefore, a new model will most likely be required. The overall style is for the male to be relaxed, cool and desirable; every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to date him!! The Topman model is stylish, a trend setter, laid back, individual and easy going. He doesn’t try to hard yet manages to pull off the look easily; an image that the label tries to convey through each campaign. Do you think you can pull this nonchalant character off? At the casting the judging panel will be on the look out to spot the Topman model within you. Be open to all opportunities as the Topman gig maybe a one off experience and will certainly not be a full time position. You will be expected to juggle various roles which could involve Urban Outfitters, River Island and New Look depending of your look, style and timing as compteiting retailers will not hire the same model for their campaign.
